When will my order ship?
Lotion Pops and Whipped Body Butters are made-to-order, so will typically ship 2-3 business days after your order is placed. Expect orders with soap only to ship 1-2 business days after your order is placed.
Where does my order ship from?
All orders ship from Somers Point, NJ.
Do you ship to locations outside of the United States?
No. Currently, we only ship to locations within the United States.
Does Soap on Third have a physical storefront?
No, not at this time. Please join our mailing list or check back on our site for future appearances at local events or markets.
What if my order is received incomplete or damaged?
If you receive your order and it is incomplete or damaged, please submit details by filling out the form on our Contact Us page and we will follow up with you shortly. Please reach out to us within 72 hours of receipt of the incomplete or damaged order, and include your order number for reference.
How do you ship body butters in the warmer months?
In the summer months, we ship body butters with a moisture-resistant cold pack, which lasts approximately 48 hours, depending on transportation conditions. We recommend all customers that reside in warmer climates request a priority shipping option at checkout to minimize any chance of melting.
If your body butter does melt in transit (or, if at home it comes into contact with direct sunlight), please place it in the refrigerator. While the consistency may be different (it will be more similar to a balm than a whipped butter), the properties and qualities of the ingredients will not change.
What is your return policy?
Due to the personal nature of our products, we cannot accept any returns. However, if you are not satisfied with the product, please Contact Us so that we may follow up with you.
Can I place a custom order?
Yes! We would love to work with you on a customer order. Please Contact Us with additional details around your request, and we can set up a time to connect.
Some examples of custom orders include:
Bulk orders, such as for a full loaf of soap
Special blends or scents
Wedding favors or swag bags
Does Soap on Third test its products on animals?
No, we do not test our products on animals.
What if I have allergies or am taking medication?
If you have allergies or am taking medication, please read our ingredients listed on each product page and review with your doctor.
If irritation occurs, please discontinue use immediately and consult a medical professional.
Our products are handmade at a location that contains tree nuts, peanuts, soy, wheat, and dairy.
I ordered two bars of the same soap; why do they not look identical?
Our soaps are handcrafted in small batches, and no two bars are identical. Colors and design will vary from batch to batch, as clays are swirled by hand and varying temperatures can also affect their vibrancy.
Do you use fragrances in your products?
No, we do not use synthetic fragrance oils to scent our products. All of our products are scented with essential oils or natural extracts.
Do your products contain preservatives?
Only our Body Scrubs contain a natural preservative, which is listed in the ingredients section of each product. We have included a preservative in our body scrubs because they are almost guaranteed contact with water during use. Our soaps do not have a preservative because the pH level does not allow for mold or bacteria growth. Our Body Scrubs, Whipped Body Butters and Lotion Pops contain Vitamin E oil; this is not a preservative but assists in the prevention of oils becoming rancid.
What is the recommended shelf life of your products?
From purchase date:
Lotion Pops: 12-18 months
Paw Pops: 12-18 months
Whipped Body Butter: 6 months
Soap: 12-18 months
To extend the shelf life of products:
Please store Whipped Body Butters and Lotion Pops out of direct sunlight
Please use a functional, self-draining soap dish to allow the soap bar to dry between uses
Will your products treat my medical condition?
Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Any statements on our site have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. Full ingredient lists are included on all of our product pages so that you may review with your physician, if required.
Can I use your products if I am pregnant or nursing?
There are many essential oils that pregnant or nursing mothers are recommended to avoid. Full ingredients lists are included on all of our product pages so that you may review with your physician prior to use.
